Capitalizing on the critical and ratings success of WEST COAST WILD, Ron returns with his fourth regionally inspired comedy special in as many years - Back Home.  Filmed in Halifax before a hometown crowd, Ron sets Atlantic Canada between his comedic cross-hairs, by blending personal anecdotes with contemporary satire in a rollicking 90-minute odyssey covering past, present and future, as he satirizes nationally relevant topics and details the ‘Have Not’ regions’ relationship to the greater Canadian collective, on this ever-changing planet.

If the other specials were propelled by the perspective of a wide-eyed Celtic wanderer, embracing the personality of people and place across the Big Wide Open, Back Home regales tales from the journeys of a prodigal Maritime son, come full-circle after 30 years of living far away from his  ‘borning lands of lobster blood’.

Using nine cameras and a specially designed set, CBC will film RON JAMES - Back Home at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Dalhousie Arts Centre, in Halifax on October 1st & 2nd.  Reserved tickets are $41.50 (tax & CIF included) and go on sale Noon Monday, August 13th at the Dalhousie Arts Centre Box Office.  They are also available by calling 902 494-3820, 1 800 874-1669 or on line at www.artscentre.dal.ca .
