Marc Jordan, whose Rhythm of My Heart was brought to #1 worldwide fame by Rod Stewart, knows a lot about songwriting and performing, the strongest testament being his multi-genre awards to that effect.
Jordan’s material has been interpreted on over 30 million recordings by numerous artists, including Joe Cocker and Olivia Newton-John, Amanda Marshall and Jeff Healey, Bonnie Raitt and Josh Groban, to name but a few. He is a painter, an actor, a playwright — in short, the man is inspired by a muse who constantly kindles his creativity.
Marc Jordan is touring in support of his 18th recording, Both Sides. Sharing the stage is a group of outstanding musicians: Lou Pomanti on piano, Marc Rogers on bass, drummer Kevan McKenzie, and Mark Lalama on accordion and keyboards. Both Sides is a mix of his own material and standards, such as Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now, Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side, Curtis Mayfield's People Get Ready, and Rolling Stones' Wild Horses, all of which contributed to the soundtrack of life in the 60s and 70s. It promises to be a hypnotic evening of compelling vocals, where the lines between jazz and pop become blurred, and Jordan's trademark clear, emotional and poetic delivery renders each song autobiographical.
